Rhosygilwen is dedicated to promoting live music by Welsh and international artists in the areas of classical, choral, folk, jazz and traditional music of Wales. Other art forms such as dance and the word are also supported.
Neuadd y Dderwen, the Oak Hall is designed around sustainable principles. It is of Green Oak construction, uses ground source heating and has a 60 panel PV solar cell array for producing electricity.
Artists who have performed at Rhosygilwen have praised the fine acoustics of the venue and it is also used as a studio recording facility. Artists from Cerys Matthews to Jeremy Huw Williams with the Welsh CHamber Orchestra have recorded here. Rhosygilwen boasts a state of the art Bose PA system, digital projection, thre phase power and four star catering on site. This makes it the perfect conference venue during weekdays.
